The growth of foreclosures’ number has slowed down on a global scale
According to the British Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the proportion of countries where the indicator has increased, has declined from 80% in Q3, to 72% in Q4.
The RICS is based on the opinion its members, as well as the heads of major realtor companies from 25 countries of the world.
According to the respondents, the U.S. and Japan have become the leaders in the foreclosure number growth. This trend has also been observed in China and Germany, however, to a lesser extent. The opposite dynamics was registered in Brazil, India, Australia and Hong Kong.
Analysts believe that the same trends would prevail on the specified markets upon the results of Q1 2010. The interest towards foreclosed properties expressed by investment funds is expected to increase.
